The solution / You will work together with our partners within the Var Group Data Science Business Unit, specialized in Corporate Performance Management, Advanced Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Integration and Management, and Technological infrastructure. You will join the infrastructure support team following on-prem, private cloud, and public multi-cloud customer environments.
What you will do
- Installing and configuring MS SQL Server instances
- Day-to-day management of MS SQL Server instances
- Database monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting technical issues
- SQL queries performance tuning
- Building and implementing database migration, upgrade, and patching strategies
- Building and implementing database backup and recovery strategies
What you need to own
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server such as Failover Cluster Instance (FCI) and Always-On Availability Group (AOAG)
- Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, and integrity
- Familiarity with Extended Events, Query Store and Database Engine Tuning Advisor (DTA)
- Familiarity with TSQL language and PowerShell scripting
- Problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
- Relevant MS certifications are a plus
- Fluency in English
- The Italian language is a plus
